Public Library ESOL Project

Resource Title:  Public Library ESOL Project

Brief Description of Resource:  This PILR project ran for just one year, but the project changed significantly from the first quarter of implementation to the second. The documents I am uploading reflect the second quarter project, which had a class of level four (of 6) ESOL students research and complete a worksheet on a particular feature/content in the King County Library web site, present (in pairs) what they learned to the class, and write an essay about the project. We thought it worked very well and the students both enjoyed and were successful at it.
The document I have attached includes four separate documents: the integrated assignment plan for PILR, the instruction plan report for PILR, the writing assignment and grading rubric, and the worksheet we used with the class.
